Himley Hall (https://www.himleyhallandpark.co.uk/)

Nice setting, 180 acres, central and very civilised. Already has classic transport shows and hosts the British Mini show.

best suggestion I have seen on the forum. I am a member of the 75 & ZT owners club as well as this one (4x 75 tourers & 3 x 400 tourers + 1 cabby). I have found that meeting other members from all over the UK builds interest in the club. They alternate national meets towards north and south, this year Liphook last year the Eden camp.Woild welcolm a 200/400 National.

As mentioned on the PoL thread, how about Crofton Park next month or June, fresh ground to claim.

What an excellent idea. quite like the idea of the big old house type setting, remember going to an MG gathering a few years back at Chatsworth house in the peak district, lovely setting!

This is a good suggestion and something as a club we are now probably big enough to support, either as a unique event or picking another event as a 'host event'

Having organised the R8 25th anniversary and been involved with last year's Roverfest I know that organising an event of our own does take a lot of planning and work. I think it is too late to arrange anything for this summer but we are planning the a weekend of activities to celebrate the R8 30th anniversary event for 2019, an event will be for all members not just those with R8s, which would be our National event for that year.

If 'Roverfest2' were to happen, that could make an ideal 'host event'....

So keep the suggestions for locations coming and if anyone owns a Stately Home, that would be even better :laughing2
I like Twin Cams.... and Single Cams

After seeing all the complaints on the POL facebook group it'll be great for us organise and host an alternative meeting later in year at a venue not affected by weather and invite same vehicle criteria as POL.
It wouldn't be replacing POL as god forbid, you'll get shot at dawn for suggesting anything like that :laughing2

We could call it 'Love for Longbridge' which happens to shorten to *laughs* :slapme

I'm talking for 2109 which as John says coincides with 30year anniversary of R8.

Anyone know how much Gaydon charge for hiring? And how many cars they can accommodate??
To cover the costs each group that wanted to attend would pay a fee for their plot which they could get off their members or swallow the cost. Our club wouldn't make any money out of it and if we did it could be given to a charity like the resto car was. We could have a spare plot for people not affiliated with any groups or they could park in the outside car parks and charged a £1 for entry or something

But obviously it would take a huge effort to organise and it wouldn't be fair to put it all on Paul's shoulders :*laughs*

Just a thought don't shoot me down :group
