213 Keihin carb kit

Post by Doive 213 SE »

Bought a Keihin DA76B carb rebuild kit off ebay for my Rover 213, as I was sure that was the correct carb as fitted. However, the gasket set is completely different, so I suspect something isn't right somewhere. Could anyone point me in the direction of a suitable rebuild kit for whatever would be fitted to a 1989 213SE? Burlen draws a complete blank.

Turns out the car is fitted with a Keihin DE27H, which doesn't even return an internet search result let alone a rebuild kit :laughing2

Anyone have one fitted to their car, and do they have a source for a rebuild kit? I'm finding nothing from the usual suspects.

I have been contacted recently by another member with the same problem. His mechanic suggested changing the carb for a webber carb. I am not sure how realistic that option is.

After some research and a few pointers from others on Faceache groups, it turns out Meat & Doria N752 kit should suit the Rover 213 application. The DE27H carb is not listed at all, but there is a DE30C as fitted to a similar vintage Honda Civic with the 1.3 engine. I've ordered a kit and will report back once I know if it's correct or otherwise...
